Swindon Lions Club will be holding its annual fireworks show on Saturday 7 November at the Polo Ground, Marlborough Road.
This year The Lions welcome Atom Fireworks who will be putting on a spectacular display. In addition to the Fireworks display and BBC Radio Wiltshire and Pudsey there will also be a funfair as well as food and drink stalls.
Entry will be by tickets purchased in advance only and tickets can either be purchased from the One Stop Shop, Guildford Avenue, Lawns or on-line – https://swindonlions.org/fireworks/
The net proceeds from the fireworks display will be used by the Lions Club for charitable causes.
Timings
Gates Open, Funfair from 5pm
Firework display 6.45pm promptly
Access
There are two access points to the Polo Ground: from Marlborough Road (close to the Windsor Road mini-roundabout) and Downs View Road.
Please note there will be no access to the Polo Ground from Carlton Gate/Broome Manor or from Coate Water.

Adults (16 and over) £12
Child (aged 5 to 15*) £6
Family (max 2 adults and 3 paying children) £28.00
* Please note that children aged 4 and under are free and do not need paper tickets but free on-line tickets are available for children aged 4 and under.

Parking Information
FREE Park and Ride at Nationwide Car Park, Pipers Way, SN3 1TA
Follow the signs to the Nationwide Car Park, Pipers Way.
ALLOW A MINIMUM OF 30 MINUTES to travel on the FREE Park and Ride double decker bus from the Nationwide Car Park to the Polo Ground. The fireworks display will start promptly at 6.45pm.
No parking will be permitted in Downs View Road as this is where the busses turn.
Disabled Access
Arrangements can be made for those who need disabled access. Please email Lion Richard on [email protected] Car access will only be given to cars displaying the disabled badge and cars need to arrive at the Marlborough Road entrance before 4.45pm. Cars will not be able to leave the Polo Ground before the mass of pedestrian traffic has eased which is expected to be around 7.30pm.
The Lions Club of Swindon reserves the right to refuse vehicular entrance to any vehicle in the case of poor ground conditions.
Allocation of proceeds in past 12 months
The Fireworks display is held to raise funds for the Swindon Lions so that the club is able to respond to requests for assistance. Over the past year the club has supported the following causes:
Community causes £6,200 *
Welfare/social care £3,500
Other overseas appeals (disaster relief) £1,000
Youth in Swindon area £1,700
* Community causes includes local groups such as Alternative Angels, Swindon Food Collective, Prospect Hospice, Big Breakfast, Julia's House, Carers for the Community, CALM (childrens’ cancer charity), Brighter Futures, Hearing Dogs, Bobby Van Trust, Best Mates, Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Important information
No sparklers, fireworks, alcohol or illicit drugs are to be brought onto the Polo Ground by members of the public.
We also ask that the public do not bring animals to the event.
