Labour Councillors from Eastcott are thanking residents who helped them take action against dumped rubbish in their community.

Labour’s Eastcott Councillors, Paul Dixon, Imtiyaz Shaikh and Patrick Herring are thanking residents who joined them in a community clean-up in the Morse Street area on Saturday.

12 bags of rubbish were collected in the heat of the summer. Dumped cars have also been notified to the council for collection.

Four residents joined the elected representatives in the clean-up.

Eastcott Borough Councillor, Paul Dixon, said: “Thanks to everyone who turned up last Saturday to help with the clean-up at the top of Morse Street, with Imtiyaz Shaikh, Patrick Herring and I. Local residents are keen to keep this going. I’m hoping the dumped cars can be removed next.

"Do get in touch with us if you have any other areas that need a clean-up.”
