Swindon and Wiltshire Pride committee members will join supporters to take part in a 25 mile cycle ride to boost funds for next year’s event.

The annual Ride for Pride event, taking place on 15 September, will see riders setting off at 10am from Faringdon Park, making their way to Lydiard Park, Coate Water, Supermarine, Stanton House, Town Gardens and finishing at the Regent Hotel.

They will join supporters at the Regent from 7pm for a barbeque and entertainment by DJ Roly, Miss Bridy and karaoke.

Pride chairman Kristian Wheeler said: “Our annual Ride for Pride event is always really popular; it’s a great fundraiser and a good way to keep fit and healthy.  We will also be awarding a prize for the individual who raises the most and, for most colourful cyclist. We have checked the weather and it looks like it will be sunny - which is always a bonus”

Swindon & Wiltshire Pride are looking for more riders to take part. Anyone wishing to join the fun can email [email protected] .

It costs £20 on the day or free for those able to raise a minimum £50 sponsorship.
