Trio of teenagers arrested in connection with unprovoked assault

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with an unprovoked assault which happened in Swindon earlier this summer.

The incident happened when a group of teenagers were walking along Vistula Crescent, having left the Asda at the Orbital Shopping Centre, at around 1.30am on 28 July 2018.

They were attacked by a group of youths, one of whom used a bike saddle as a weapon.

The victims, three 18-year-old men and an 18-year-old female, suffered various levels of injuries, but one required hospital treatment for a fractured eye socket, a broken nose and broken ribs.

Two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy, all from Swindon, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, grievous bodily harm and two counts of common assault.

They have all been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
