Current owners of The Weighbridge Brewhouse have given the popular restaurant a new lease of life to meet the appetite of new and existing customers.
The Weighbridge Brewhouse has been one of Swindon's most popular establishments for more than 100 years. Home now to both a restaurant and brewery, new owners - the Upham Group - are hoping to take it to the next level of fine-dining.
Since taking over ownership in 2017, the Upham Group have now put their own mark on The Weighbridge Brewhouse with a redesign of both the menu, - led by newly appointed head chef Russell Hunt - and interior decor.
Russell is classically trained and has a history of working in 3 AA Rosette and Michelin starred restaurants. He specialises in modern British food with a European influence, and is said to be extremely passionate about local produce and game.
The the new menu will feature an array of meals to pair with Upham’s range of award-winning beers and curated drinks list. There is a strong focus on provenance, with all products now sourced locally wherever possible and only the highest quality seasonal ingredients used. As well as a new menu the Upham Group are also introducing a new Express Lunch service.
A spokesperson for the Upham Group said: "To make sure that even more people can enjoy The Weighbridge’s delectable dishes and drinks, the pub has extended its food service times. Monday through Saturday, lunch is now available from 12pm to 3pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, while Sunday lunch is served from 12pm to 8pm.
"Measures have also been put into place to improve the speed and level of service to ensure a consistently excellent customer experience. The kitchen has been re-configured to speed up the flow of the cooking and plating process, and thousands of pounds of new equipment has been installed.
"All bar and waiting staff have been extensively re-trained and a detailed order of service has been implemented to make sure customers receive the attention and timely service they deserve, whether popping in for a pint of our award-winning beer or taking their time over a leisurely three course meal."
