Photos from the early days of Isambard Community School by Roger Ogle

First headteacher Rachael Mattey, shortly after being appointed in mid-2006, a year before the first intake arrived

The first students started at North Swindon's newly completed secondary school, Isambard Community School, in September 2007. They are pictured in their primary school uniforms on an induction day to meet their new teachers and get used to the buildings at the end of summer term in that year.

Following an unsatisfactory Ofsted inspection in 2015 Isambard is no more, having been taken over by Lydiard Park Academy multi-academy trust and rebranded Abbey Park School from September 2017.

Other images in the gallery illustrates Isambard in its early days.
