A free scheme has been relaunched in a bid to boost revenue in the town centre and encourage residents to shop more locally.

inSwindon Business Improvement District have today relaunched a money saving 'Shop & Save Local' loyalty club.

The scheme is free to Swindon residents, employees and visitors alike and provides exclusive discounts and offers in more than 60 stores across Swindon's town centre.

Di Powell, InSwindon BID Chief Executive, said: “We want to encourage as many people as possible to join up and become a member. The more members we have, the bigger and better offers our stores will provide!

"Everybody is savvy these days and want the best offer available. We aim to encourage more footfall and return visitors in a drive to encourage more High Street support and to promote ‘Shop Local’."

The initiative pledges to reinvest 60p for every £1 spent back to the local economy. inSwindon hopes the loyalty club will encourage residents to support local retailers on the high street.

To sign up, Swindon residents and businesses can visit www.swindontowncentre.co.uk to enter their details. Members can then access offers directly from mobile devices.

Other benefits include invitations to exclusive shopping events, free treats on birthdays and being able to have a say on the scheme through focus groups.
