Newland Homes’ Broad Blunsdon Heights development has been awarded the title of Best New Large Housing Development in Swindon Borough Council’s Local Building Excellence Awards 2019.

The 57-home development was nominated for the award by the Swindon Borough Council Building Control Surveyor and received their title and certificate from Mayor of Swindon Councillor Junab Ali. Newland Homes was praised for their organisation and communication with the council’s team, as well as for the design and quality of the homes; particularly the use of broad, modern grey-framed windows to allow light to flood into the homes and the large frontages and driveways of the properties.

Broad Blunsdon Heights is a stand-out development of high quality and well-appointed family homes. There are just three homes left for sale on the development, all of which are five bedroom Haresfield style homes which have been designed with growing families in mind, as well as those looking to move up the property ladder for more space.  With a full-width kitchen/breakfast/family room in addition to a separate lounge and dining room, plus four double bedrooms and a single, the Haresfield is an attractive, modern home.

In order to help home-hunters achieve their next move, Newland Homes will be holding two open weekends at Broad Blunsdon Heights. The first weekend on 16th and 17th March will focus on how part exchange can help people move into a bigger home.

The following weekend, 23rd and 24th March, will focus on Help to Buy, a government backed scheme where homebuyers can obtain a 20% loan in addition to a mortgage to fund their ideal home.

Gail Remnant, Associate Sales Director for Newland Homes, said: “Our last three five bedroom properties are excellent homes and are ready to move into straight away. This includes our former showhome which is for sale, which comes with designer-inspired window treatments, lighting, alarm, flooring, landscaped gardens and extra-large double garage, plus many more extras. Purchasers also have the added benefit of moving into a completed development, and so have no need to worry about construction work continuing around them in their new home.

“Many of our purchasers haven’t been fully aware of the opportunities available to them to help them secure a bigger home.  Part exchange is available to those currently looking to move from a smaller property, or alternatively we can work with purchasers to help sell their home to enable a move to Broad Blunsdon Heights.

“A common misconception too is that Help to Buy isn’t open to everyone.  As long as you only own one property and are looking to buy a new home which is less than £600,000, then purchasers could be eligible for an additional 20% government backed loan, which is interest free for five years.  It’s an ideal way to move up the property ladder without the immediate need to stretch your finances.”

Prices for a five bedroom home at Broad Blunsdon Heights start at £440,000 The sales office and viewhome is open Friday to Monday 11am to 5pm.  For more information visit www.newlandhomes.co.uk/blunsdon.
