Wiltshire Police are appealing for the public's help to identify this person after an elderly vulnerable woman's bank card was used for payments in several shops in West Wiltshire and Somerset.

The card was used for several, small, contactless transactions in Lidl in Warminster, Asda in Frome and Tesco in Trowbridge, before family members of the victim, who is a resident at Wren Care Home, Warminster, reported it.

PC Daniel Fawcett, from Warminster's Community Policing Team, urged anyone who recognises the person to come forward and provide vital information.

"This is a really despicable crime," he added.

"The card belonged to an elderly, vulnerable, woman who was defenceless.

"Luckily, the victim's family quickly noticed a series of unexplained transactions from her bank account before stopping the card immediately.

"We have been working closely with the care home to try and identify the person concerned but, so far, have been unable to identify the person in the CCTV images."

Anyone with information about the incident, which happened between 18 and 19 February and totaled around £140, should call 101 and quote crime reference 54190017303. To report anonymously, please call 0800 555 111.
