A disorder took place at a Swindon play park earlier this month and Swindon police are appealing for information.

At approximately 4pm on April 12, a large group of youths believed to be aged approximately 13 confronted and threatened a smaller group of youths of a similar age in the Richard Jefferies play area in Eldene Drive.

It is believed the group were in possession of knives at the time and the confrontation was unprovoked.

PC Ed Rogers said: “The small group of youths were left extremely frightened by the incident and fled the scene, abandoning their belongings.

“They were left feeling extremely shaken by the incident. We are currently carrying out enquiries to identify the youths involved and would appeal to anyone who has knowledge of the incident to get in touch.

“The main instigator is described as approximately 13, black, with short hair and was wearing a ‘Supply and Demand’ tracksuit with red stripes down the sides.”

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190035758. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
