Making a splash for some cash the Rotary Club of Swindon Old Town recently hosted its 20th duck race in aid of local charities.

Thousands of fake yellow ducks were released into the wild as part of the Rotary Club of Swindon Old Town's annual duck race.

Taking place at Westcott Recreation Ground, this year the rotary club held the event in aid of local charities including CALM, Willows counselling service and Big Breakfast. An organiser of the event said they "certainly witnessed the biggest crowds for Swindon’s famous Duck Race" this year.

Battling it down the rapids, the winning duck was to receive £1,000 and the six runners up taking home £100 each.
