The first homes at the brand new phase of development at Wichelstowe south of Swindon will be officially launched this weekend – Saturday 12 October - by house builders David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes.

A range of apartments and houses will be available to reserve at the launch of Canalside at Wichelstowe with the first homes due to be ready in 2020.

David Wilson Homes sales director Louise Ware said the official launch gives buyers their first opportunity to reserve a home off plan ready for a move next year.

“By reserving off plan buyers can ensure they secure their pick of the plots,” said Louise. “Even by the time they move in, those reserving early in the build process will find the value of their home may have increased - saving them money and ensuring their investment is working for them very early on.”

David Wilson Homes will be launching its first two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes with Barratt Homes releasing one and two bedroom apartments together with three and four bedroom houses.

Barratt Homes sales director Andrea Pilgrim said interest in the new development has been high for some time and she was delighted to be able to launch the first of these new homes.

She added: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the first visitors to the development which will provide a great mix of homes in a sought-after location as part of a brand new community.”

The first homes from David Wilson Homes include the two bedroom Chichester apartment priced from £180,000, two bedroom Cherwell apartment and the three bedroom Greenwood design priced from £315,000. It will also be offering the first four bedroom Wichel Stray and Parkin designs with prices from £330,000.
