Swindon man charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm

A man appeared in court today charged with a robbery at a Chippenham bookmakers.

Scott Knowles, 31, of Naunton Road, Swindon, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court, charged with possession of an imitation firearm and robbery. 

He has been remanded in custody to next appear at Swindon Crown Court on  November 15.

This relates to a robbery at Coral Racing in New Road, Chippenham, on September 7.
