Get ready for the Swindon Lions fireworks

Swindon Lions Club will be holding its annual fireworks show on Saturday 2nd November 2019 at the Polo Ground, Marlborough Road.

Following requests for the display to be held earlier to enable younger children to attend this year Swindon Lions will open the gates at 5.00pm and the display will start 30 minutes earlier than in previous years at 6.45pm.

In addition to the funfair, entertainment at the display will also include Swindon's young singer Phoebe Maddison and BBC Wiltshire's Graham Seaman with an appearance by Pudsey Bear who is looking forwards to starting the display.

The net proceeds from the fireworks display will be used by the Lions Club for charitable causes.

The tickets on the gate on the evening of 2nd November will be: Adults £9.00 and Child £5.00 Advance tickets can be bought at reduced prices at outlets in Swindon: Adult £7.00 and Child £4.00 Tickets are also available on-line. Ticket Sales:

Tickets are also on sale at the following outlets: £ 20 at The Kings, Wood Street £ Magnum Wineshop, Wood Street £ Nationwide Building Society, Regent Street £ One Stop, 44 Guildford Avenue, Lawns £ Visitor Information Centre, Central Library, Regent Circus Access Access to the Polo Ground will be from Marlborough Road (close to the Windsor Road miniroundabout); Downs View Road and Broome Manor Lane. 

Parking Information FREE Park and Ride at Nationwide Car Park, Pipers Way, SN3 1TA Follow the signs to the Nationwide Car Park, Pipers Way.

ALLOW A MINIMUM OF 30 MINUTES to travel on the FREE Park and Ride bus from the Nationwide Car Park to the Polo Ground. The fireworks display will start promptly at 6.45pm.

No parking will be permitted in Downs View Road.

We are advised by the Police that they will take action against anyone parking on the “coned off” streets around the Polo Ground.

please email Lion Pete on [email protected] Car access will only be given to cars displaying the disabled badge and cars need to arrive at the Marlborough Road entrance before 4.45pm.

Cars will not be able to leave the Polo Ground before the mass of pedestrian traffic has eased which is expected to be around 7.30pm. The Lions Club of Swindon reserves the right to refuse vehicular entrance to any vehicle if the case of poor ground conditions. Important information No sparklers, fireworks or alcohol are to be brought onto the Polo Ground by members of the public.
