Environmental campaigner charged with criminal damage of council sign

A Swindon man has been charged with criminal damage in relation to the damage of a council sign.

Tristan Strange, 37, from Tennyson Street in Swindon, was charged with three counts of criminal damage and has been released on conditional bail to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court in December. 

The charges for the Extinction Rebellion member relate to the spray painting of a Swindon Borough Council sign on three separate dates: 28, 29 and 30 October 2019.
