Officers are appealing for witnesses after a laptop was taken from a house on Highworth Road, Swindon.
Between midday and 5pm on Friday 27 July 2017 unknown offender(s) managed to get through a garage door at the address and steal the computer.
PC Michelle Jones said: "We'd like to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in this area at this time.
"It's a busy road, so someone must have seen something - if that was you, please contact us."
