Officers are appealing for witnesses as well as anyone who may have dash cam footage following an incident in Swindon.

The incident happened at approximately 8.15pm on March 15 on Victoria Road, outside Mr Cod.

The victim – a 16-year-old local boy - was approached by three males who demanded he hand over money and when he refused, they assaulted him by hitting him over the head.

Police have arrested three teenage boys on suspicion of attempted robbery and they have all been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.

Officers would urgently like to speak to anyone who may have been driving past who may have dash cam footage of the incident, or of the three males involved.

If you can help, call 101 and quote crime reference number 54200026917.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymous on 0800 555 111.
