FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER A THAMESDOWN COUNCIL
COMMITTEE MEETING IS TO BE HELD OUTSIDE THE CIVIC OFFICES. The Community Planning Comm
ittee of August 5th is to be held at Freshbrook Community Centre, starting at 7 pm. As with all
council meetings this one is open to the public and West Swindon residents are especially invited to
attend. At the time of going to press, items for the Agenda included reports on the Toothill and
Freshbrook permanent community centres and the conversion of Upper Shaw Farm into a community
building to serve Westlea. All topical stuff and very relevant to Link readers. The meeting is also
unique because members of the public will also be given a chance to raise matters of concern with
the committee. This is highly unusual and an opportunity not to be missed (Falloff the page here i 1 )
