A new business committed to doing
interesting things in wood has been
set up by Steven and Sharon Kemnitz
of Deerhurst Way, Toothifi.
Steven, pictured below, can take on
any general carpentry work such as
making and fitting doors, skirting
boards, laying wooden floors and
ceilings. He also has contacts with a
stone-mason, plumber and others in
the building trade who, working
together, can take on any building
work.
But Stevens main interest is in
creating mouldings and turning in
wood. He designs and makes
ornamental fireplaces, stairails,
internal wooden arches using hisown
lathe and moulding equipment to
produce pieces for the home which
are highly individual and made by a
craftsman.
Since Steven launched into self-
employment, his wife Sharon has
joined him, by making a range of
wooden toys. He has designed
templates for rocking toys, play
houses and dolls houses and Sharon
cuts the wood, prepares, assembles
thepieces and then paintsor varnishes
the finished item. All the children's
toys are made to order after a design For an American
