A skate jam in the Link Centre
coach park on 6 July attracted over
70 skate boarders, roller skaters,
BMX bikers and in-liners.

ised to give young people the
chance to show the need for a pur-
pose built skate park in West Swin-
don. Names are being collected
for a petition calling on Thames-
down Council to help provide one.
Link Centre staff assisted jam
organisers to put on the event by
donating wood to build a large
ramp which is being stored in the
centre's outdoor compound.
More skate jams will take place
during August. Turn up with your
wheels, show off your skills and
learn from others.
