Michael name changed) was born in 1934 the younger of identical twins in Delhi in the area in Punjab (which means the land of Five Rivers(
in India. He has three older brothers and one older sister. As he and his brother are twins his mother and father didn't have to pay for everything
locally, as the tradesman refused payment because they believed twins graced their businesses and dwellings and brought good luck Michael
remembers that in Delhi there were scorpions and snakes, some of which were cobras, kraits (also known as twigsnakes), and black mambas. A
Krait s poison could kill a man within ten minutes while an indian myth says that if the blood of a mambo fell on you its mate would seek you out to
kill you
At the age of three, Michael's family had quite a few servants - a gardener, dhobi (washer woman), cook, bearer (who served the food), and a
manservant. The manservant hod to take Michael and his twin brother for walks, and as he was also the disciplinarian he made them hold their ears
and do squats as punishment
When Michael was four, the family transferred to the North West Frontier and as a treat visited the Khyber pass once a month They then moved to
Kabul, and later to Landi Katal, which has the highest railway station in the North West Frontier. He and his family then moved to Lahore when he
was five and then when he was eight they moved again this time to a hill station in the Himalayan Mountains There was no transport in this area
as snow used to reach a height of ten to twenty feet, so everyone had to walk. This included the bearer who had to walk the three miles down the
mountain to buy hand baked bread at a price of 0.625 pice (1 penny( and then walk back up again. Milk was bought at 1.25 pice ( 2 pence( and
was brought up from the volley by the village milkman or farmer at a distance of ten miles The milk was carried by yoke a shaped piece of wood to
fit on the shoulders with c bucket on either end and to ward of wild animals which included leopards panthers wolves bears hyenas and Jackals
the farmer would sing at the top of his voice.
Around this time, Michael discovered he had Psychic powers with his twin. They could tell when one another was in the vicinity, and whenever his
twin hurt himself he would get a headache, but it didn't occur vice-versa. Whenever Michael did get a headache, he would check up to see if his
twin was inbred. He invariably was.
While living in the Himalyas, Michael went to day school
until the age of fourteen where upon he went to boarding
school where he had to wear a blue and grey uniform.
