Children explore new art ideas
Youngsters at Salt Way School
explored new techniques during
a week of art during November.
Artist in education Ray Ward
from Marlborough spent a day in
each junior class helping children
develop ideas and trying different
forms of artistic expression. As a
result children produced large
portraits, layered masks from torn
paper and designed and painted a
giant jigsaw.
Project coordinator teacher Tony
Giannotti said, "the children ben-
efited enormously from their work
with Ray. The week was inspira-
tional."
