Girls team switcs club and gains new sponsor
A group of footballing girls have
moved their club allegiance from
Shaw to play under the banner of
Chiseldon FC.
The girls train on the Greendown
School astro-turf pitch and, as
members of the South Wales girls
league, travel as far as Cardiff for
away games.
Last year the team was pictured
in The Link wearing team shirts
sponsored by WH Smith. In Sep-
tember, the girls took delivery of
training tops sponsored by
Wootton Bassett based shop fit-
ting firm Railstons.
The club runs two teams, ui tder
12s and under 16s, and are always
interested in meeting girls who
would like to join. For more infor-
mation, call Sue Povey on 875271.
