                             r midsummer magic from Westlea School

                               Over two month's hard work by year six children came to a colourful
                               conclusion on 18 December when a packed audience of parents and
                               friends in the Greendown School drama studio enjoyed William Shake-
                               speare's Midsummer Night's Dream.
                                 The thirty-two children in Alison Pass' class worked under stern
                               direction of Greendown teacher Tim Noble to learn their lines and
                               understand the twists and turns of Shakepeare's lyrical romantic
                               comedy to give an excellent perfomance which they obviously enjoyed.
                                 "The children did exceptionally well to grasp the complexity of the
                                                plot," said Mr Noble. It
                                                will stand them in good
                                                stead when they study
                                                Shakespeare at second-
                                            •
