Time capsule seals in memories
and hopes for the future
Some 3,000 trees were planted at the Millennium Tree Plant between
Swindon and Purton in early December.
Organised by The Woodland Trust and the Great Western Commu-
nity Forest, the event had a special ingredient when a large steel time
capsule was buried on the site.
People brought everything from a silver thimble to a telephone,
children's toys including a Womble album, family photos and badges.
Also included were many personal messages to the future.
