          Crisis hits multi-cultural festival
   The Mela. one of the highlights of Swindon's calendar might have to be
   severely cut back after NatWest withdrew sponsorship for this year's
   event on Saturday 29 July. At worse it could be cancelled.
                       Last year 16.000 people were attracted to
                      Old Town Gardens. Since 2003 the Mela has
                      grown to become the biggest and most suc-
                      cessful multi-cultural event in the South West
                      featuring local and national performers, fash-
                      ion shows. and dozens of arts and crafts and
                      food stalls.
                       Organisers are appealing to Swindon com-
                      panies to support this high profile event. For
