New term, new start for Headstarts
Headstarts Nursery, based in Westlea, has expanded to open a nurs-
ery at the new Barnado's Childrens Centre at Robert le Kyng Primary
School, off Westcott Place.
Headstarts were asked to branch out at very short notice but rose to
the challenge and the nursery was ready to welcome children at the
start of term in early September.
Owner Sara Vare congratulated her staff for all their hard work. "We

job and I'd particularly like to thank Alison Barrett for all her hard work
developing the new nursery, as well as managing Westlea."
At the official launch, South Swindon M P, Anne Snelgrove, said she
was delighted to open the nursery. "The Headstarts nursery will
provide an important link between the children's centre and Robert le
communities across Swindon.
"The Government is determined that children will have better life
chances and children's centres are the way to break the cycle of
destructive behaviour that is found in some neighbourhoods before
they become part of a lifestyle. Early intervention to help parents learn
parenting skills and provide support with bringing up children gives
hope to them."
