                                                                      Lent appeal to put West African
                                                                              children in uniforms

                                                                   Children at Oliver Tomkins Junior School dedicated their Lent appeal
                                                                   to help children in Burkina Faso after Jim Allmark from Swindon’s
                                                                   Discovery Church asked them to help provide uniforms.
                                                                     Sue Macdonald, assistant headteacher, said the annual lent appeal
                                                                   was always well supported. “Our children were staggered by the fact
                                                                   that not all children can go to school in Burkina Faso and certainly not

                                                                   £420 was raised.”
                         MUSICAL THEATRE                             Fundraising  activities  included  a  sponsored  silence,  a  tombola,  a

                                                                   matching socks. Pupils were also invited to take part in a competition to
