Animals Asia
founder coming
to Swindon
Swindon is one of just six towns in
Britain to be visited by Jill Robin-
son MBE, the founder of Animals
Asia foundation (AAF), as part of
her fundraising tour in October.

She will be attending a charity
curry night at the Bombay Lounge
organised by the Swindon support
group of AAF on 4 October.
Sarah Chilvers from Peatmoor, is
delighted that Jill is making a return
visit to the town. “It’s wonderful
that Jill is coming to Swindon again,
a great privilege to meet a woman
who does such amazing work to
stop bears being farmed for their
bile juices in appalling conditions.
“This is a tremendous opportu-
nity for Animals Asia supporters to
meet an inspirational person and
fi nd out more about the vital work
of Animals Asia.”
She added that Swindon has been
chosen because of the enthusiastic
support for AAF. In the last year
£5,000 has been raised for Animals
Asia.
When Jill visited Swindon in
2007, a gala night at the Pagoda
Palace raised £8,000.
The Bombay Lounge curry night
will be an all ticket event for just 60
people costing £20 each.
