Swindon MS Centre thanks Potter author
JK Rowling’s £10million donation to Edinburgh University to set up
a research centre in memory of her mother Ann, who died after suf-
fering from multiple sclerosis, has been acclaimed by the manager of
the Swindon MS Centre.
“Her gift is incredibly gen-
erous,” said Jackie Wray. “JK
Rowling has been a friend of
the Swindon centre in the past,
when on two occasions she has
donated signed copies of her
Harry Potter books. The auctions
helped us raise over £2,500 which
went towards the opening of the
new centre.
“It’s great to know that JK
Rowling will have such an amaz-
ing input to hopefully funding a
cure for MS.”
