Fifteen students from the Salwan group of schools in Delhi spent a day at Bradon Forest School in mid-October, making a reciprocal visit after 25 students from the Purton secondary school visited India at the end of April.
Following a tour of the school, in an assembly, students from both schools made presentations about life, culture and religion in each country. Bradon teacher Deborah Cousins said: “It was fabulous that the students could meet each other in India and in England. We learnt so much when we went to their fascinating country.”
Teacher Pallavi Rawat said students at Salwan School attend either morning or afternoon sessions. “We’re all very excited to visit Bradon Forest. The students have been photographing everything and texting family and friends at home.
“Like here, we are a multi-cultural society. The more interesting aspect I’ve observed is the different method to keep discipline that schools here use.”
Salwan student Ranu Sigar commented: “We’ve been into London and visited other schools on our visit. I love the history and the architecture in England. Bradon Forest is so open and quiet and is in such lovely green countryside.
“It’s nice to meet the Bradon students again and continue talking about our different experiences of life and education.
