Lexi Secker, 35, of Lowbourne, Melksham has today (27/09) been sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for the rape of a woman in Swindon in 2021.
Secker who at the time of the offence was known and charged as Alex Secker, but since identifies as Lexi Secker, was found guilty by trial in June this year of a rape that took place on 23 April 2021, after a night out in Blunsdon.
Secker is well known in the Swindon film community having directed several short films including the thriller Follow The Crows, Onus and The Silent Assassin.
DC Corrina Wiltshire said: "I would firstly like to thank our victim in this case who has been inspirational in the way they have handled things.
"I hope this sentence gives other victims the strength to come forward and help police seek justice for them.
"This case has taken a long time to get to this point, but I'm pleased to say the victim has trusted the police throughout and stayed with this despite the hurdles. They have such incredible strength and I hope it shows others that they can do this too.

A police spokesperson added: "It is important that we have reported the facts of this case as accepted by the CPS and the criminal justice service. Throughout the trial, Secker was referred to as a female and the name Lexi was used. However, it is important to reference that Secker offended and was subsequently charged, as a man – Alexander Secker.
"This is in line with national guidance for naming defendants and could possibly support with establishing the existence of other victims of sexual abuse and rape."
