Swindon’s BG Automotive (BGA) has been honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for International Trade.
The firm, a leading name in the global automotive aftermarket, says its mission is to deliver high-quality Engine, Steering and Transmission parts along with world-class service.
The award was presented by Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire Mrs Sarah Troughton on behalf of the King.
As a major Swindon’s employers, BGA opened its doors to showcase not only its achievements but also its strong ties to the local community.
The Lord-Lieutenant and other distinguished guests were given a guided tour of BGA’s offices, warehouse, and Research & Development centre, where they witnessed BGA’s quality-driven approach to manufacturing.
Live demonstrations showed how BGA’s products are rigorously tested against OEM standards, highlighting BGA’s commitment to producing aftermarket parts that consistently meet or surpass original quality.
Chris Cameron, BGA’s MD, said: “This award means so much to us. It’s a tribute to the dedication of our team here in the UK and the trust of our export partners and customers across 75-plus countries.
"We couldn’t have reached this point without the hard work, commitment, and resilience shown by everyone involved.”
As BGA grows, the company is actively seeking skilled professionals from across the Swindon area to join its team in a variety of office, technical, and warehouse roles. Prospective employees are encouraged to explore opportunities on the BGA website and be part of what the company promises is an exciting journey.
The celebration extended to more than 150 BGA team members, who enjoyed food from local vendors serving wood-fired pizzas and smash patty burgers.
With the weather unexpectedly turning sunny, the team gathered for a group photo with the gigantic BGA/King’s Award flag.
BGA continues to grow at 20 to 30 percent each year. With ambitious plans for 2025, the company remains dedicated to advancing Swindon’s reputation as a hub of innovation and excellence in the automotive sector.
