Buckley Gardens in Melksham has reached an 85% sold milestone with the development expected to close its doors to buyers in a few months’ time.
The development has attracted a range of movers – first time buyers have made up more than 44% of sales and almost a third (29%) have used Part Exchange to help them trade up to a larger home.
The development is attracting predominantly local buyers, with the majority coming from around a six-mile radius. Almost half (49%) are from Melksham, while others have relocated from nearby Calne and Trowbridge.

New build homes at Buckley Gardens help keep living costs down. Government-linked figures show that 87% of new builds now achieve top EPC ratings of A or B, compared with less than five per cent of older homes.
On average, new build homeowners typically spend around £1,574 a year on energy, about £420 less than those living in older properties, with typical annual energy costs around 39% lower for new properties.
Properties at Buckley Gardens also include the latest water and energy-saving technologies, which could reduce consumption by up to 27% per day per person, such as:
