First time buyers in Swindon looking to get onto the property ladder can benefit from a major incentive this weekend.

Anybody reserving an apartment at Canalside in Wichelstowe will receive a five percent deposit contribution worth up to £11,750, as well as a £2,600 upgraded kitchen.
The offer coincides with the launch of a new show apartment at the development, which will give house hunters the chance to see the latest apartment for themselves while exploring the support available to help make home ownership more achievable.
Buyers are also being offered expert advice on getting onto the property ladder, with David Wilson Redrow South West hosting a free online ‘Mortgage Essentials’ webinar to help buyers navigate the new-build buying process.
Running from 6:30pm to 7:15pm on Wednesday 9 September, the webinar, delivered in partnership with financial specialists at The Mortgage Brain, will provide practical guidance on securing a mortgage, preparing an application and understanding the key steps involved in buying a new-build home.
With more than 55 years of combined industry experience, the experts will also share insights into the schemes and support available to help buyers take their next step towards home ownership.
Louise Ware, sales director for David Wilson Redrow South West, said: “The combination of expert advice, financial support and the new show apartment launch demonstrates our ongoing commitment to help more people in Swindon take their first step onto the property ladder.
“There’s been strong interest in the webinar, which shows just how many people are looking for clear, straightforward advice.
"There’s still time to register to attend which will give buyers the confidence and opportunity to take that next step.”
Canalside at Wichelstowe is a new development of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes.
It forms part of a major joint venture between Swindon Borough Council and Barratt Homes and David Wilson Redrow South West.
Set alongside the Wilts & Berks Canal, the neighbourhood offers a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes within easy reach of Swindon town centre and local transport links.
