Edgehill Care Home Manager Lisa Edwards has been named as Registered Manager of the Year at the awards of care provider Agincare.

The organisation employs 6,000 people across 200 locations nationwide.
Lisa travelled to the Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest to receive the trophy at the Agincare Heroes Awards 2026 from Agincare Founder and Chairman Derek Luckhurst and Chief Executive Raina Summerson.
The award recognised the extraordinary leadership of Lisa at Edgehill in Freshbrook, where she has worked for over 19 years - the last six as a registered manager – and her senior role supporting the development of managers in Agincare.
Lisa received outstanding accolades from residents and their families, as well as from local authority, health and social care partners, when the call for nominations came out earlier this year.
Lisa said: “I am really pleased to win. It’s quite a shock because there was some really strong competition for Registered Manager of the Year award.
“It is fantastic to be honoured, as the job can be difficult and challenging at times and is certainly not just nine-to-five.
“The Agincare Heroes Awards are a wonderful way to recognise and show appreciation for the work we all do, and to celebrate the difference adult social care makes to people’s lives.”
The award also recognised Lisa’s prominent role within the local community, including a gruelling trek across the Great Wall of China that raised over £6,000 for Prospect Hospice in the town, which cared for her late sister, Lynsey.
Residents and the care home team were delighted to welcome back Lisa with the manager of the year trophy, after helping her train for the China walk by cheering on or joining in with laps around the care home garden.
Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, Edgehill Care Home on Liden Drive provides a home for up to 60 people, delivering high-quality, personalised care and support and is part of family-owned Agincare.
