Extra room for Swindon label firm 

Specialist label printing firm Eclipse Labels has expanded its Swindon base by acquiring a further unit at Equity Trade Centre in Hobley Drive.

The unit, which was formerly operated as a spa and beauty business, will provide an additional 6,070 sq ft of space.

The purchase of the premises was supported by funding through Handelsbanken.  Thanks to this additional space, the firm will be able to develop its services and open new markets.

Darren Abbott, managing director of Eclipse Labels, said: “Eclipse Labels has been based at Equity Trade Centre for six years.  In this time we’ve expanded three times and we were keen to remain here as the location makes it, in our opinion, one of the best industrial estates in Swindon.

“The new unit is approximately double the size of our current premises and so it represents a major investment, both to our workload capacity, as well as to business in the town.   

"Despite the current climate, we have seen a lot of positivity from our customers, who are planning for an upturn and so require our services to have products ready and waiting for their own customers.

“We are in the process of changing the building from a spa back into its original use as a light manufacturing facility.  Once this is complete, we plan to use this new space to increase our output through using the latest label printing technology here, as well as look to open new markets by undertaking additional accreditations.
