Swindon Mail Centre Manager Rashid Choudhary has been recognised as one of Royal Mail’s brightest talents.
He won the Rising Star title at the inaugural Heart of Royal Mail Awards.
Nominated by his colleagues, Rashid’s outstanding leadership and dedication earned him top honours in a celebration of excellence across the business.
The nominations praised his exceptional leadership journey, collaborative approach, and commitment to developing others.
He was also commended for driving performance across the region, while actively mentoring colleagues, championing apprenticeships, and role modelling inclusive, values-led leadership.
After the being presented with the award, he said: “It feels great – I’m absolutely buzzing about it.
"To be fair, I was a bit nervous when I came across this morning - but when I saw my name appeared up there – I was really buzzing and feel very proud and privileged to receive this award.
Rashid was one of six shortlisted finalists in the category and was ultimately chosen as the winner by award sponsor and Talent Director Sarah Roche.
The Heart of Royal Mail Awards is a company-wide recognition program that recognise individuals who go above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating dedication, innovation, and a positive impact on the company and the communities they serve.
All 130,000 Royal Mail employees are eligible to be nominated.
