Swindon technology company Ntegra joined forces with two teachers to to wrap up 300 Christmas presents for local children.
Teachers Sean Harper and Mike Jones run Just For Fun holiday clubs which support children, many from low income families, during school holidays with fun activities that are often sport related.
The two, who also work full-time as teachers, decided to ensure that every child has a gift to open when they attend the holiday club later this month.
Sean said: “We were very aware that for some of the children who visit our holiday clubs, their Christmas might not involve many presents, so this was our small way of giving back and saying thank you to them.
"However, the time it would take to wrap hundreds of presents was very daunting! We can’t thank the Ntegra team enough for stepping up to support us.”
When the team at Ntegra – which has an office in the Carriage Works in Swindon – heard about the wrapping task they offered their support. The team gathered after work to help Sean and Mike.
Katie Boot, marketing executive, said: “When I saw the piles of gifts I did think it was going to take a long time. However, once we all got going it was actually quite easy. We got the whole job done in less than two hours.
“Being able to give back in this way, particularly to children in our community, is important to us and we really enjoyed the experience.”
Ntegra has been a part of the Swindon business community for 18 years. Created in 2003 by freelance IT consultants Andy Jefferies and Bill Hart, the company has worked with brands including Vodafone, Waitrose and WPP.
The team is now more than 40 strong in Swindon itself, with specialist IT associates worldwide.
