Plumber Sally King of Sally’s Pipe Dream in Swindon is named the region’s Plumber of the Year 2026.
The competition, run by South West’s heating HVAC, also saw Gareth Hurford of Hurfords Heating in Salisbury was crowned the South West’s Heating Installer of the Year.
Now HVAC professionals, plumbers and apprentices are being encouraged to put their own work forward for the Heating Installer Awards and The Plumber Awards 2027.
Sally said: “At the start, I often doubted myself and worried about making mistakes, especially when other people were watching.
"Putting myself forward felt scary. Winning the regional plumbing award meant a lot to me because it showed that the hard work, practice, and determination I had put in had paid off.
"The awards also inspire apprentices and young plumbers by showing them what can be achieved through commitment and determination.”
Entries for the 2027 awards are now open and entry is free, unlike many industry awards, with the deadline set for 22 December 2026.
Now in its 12th year, the Heating Installer Awards recognise outstanding heating professionals across the UK, with regional winners progressing towards the national title of Heating Installer of the Year.

The Plumber Awards, now in their second year, celebrate outstanding plumbers across the UK, while a joint Apprentice of the Year category recognises the next generation entering the plumbing and heating industry.
Laura Mashiter, founder of the Heating Installer Awards and The Plumber Awards, said: “Every year we discover incredible talent in every corner of the UK, and the South West is no exception.
"We know there are outstanding heating installers, HVAC professionals, plumbers and apprentices across the region delivering brilliant work for their customers every day.
“The awards are an opportunity to recognise those individuals, celebrate their achievements and showcase the professionalism, technical expertise and dedication that exists throughout the industry. We'd encourage anyone who is proud of their work to put themselves forward.”
