The organisers of a new expo say businesses are lining up to take part and tickets to visit are going fast.
The 5554 Virtual Expo on 25 February has been devised by Yola O’Hara, Managing Director of social business consultancy Visually Explained, and David Lattimer, who runs Redro, which provides award-winning maintenance management software.
Yola and David, whose businesses are based in Royal Wootton Bassett, plan to run an expo that strips away the frills to focus on giving exhibitors a chance to showcase their brands, generate leads and convert sales.
Already dozens of businesses have signed up to take virtual stands. Many more are registering for free tickets to visit and – as the event is virtual – they are coming from across the country.
Yola said: “We are looking forward to the expo which we hope will be the first of many. There is a lot of interest and we have a wide range of businesses signing up to exhibit, as well as others who want to come along as visitors.”
Using a simple, user-friendly platform, each exhibitor has a ‘stand’ and visitors can come along to the stand and chat to businesses, just as they would in a face-to-face event. They can also book meetings and send messages.
Each stand has scope for brand exposure, including marketing material, information about offers and services, banners and videos – in fact, far more space than a physical stand offers.
Once the event finishes on 25 February it will stay online for 30 days, giving people the chance to go back and take a further look at the stands, although the interactive element will no longer be available.
Each exhibition stand cost £150 plus VAT, and there is no charge for attendance as a visitor.
