Social Media Marketing From Michelle Jones

Michelle Jones lives in Old Town and is proud to be the Campaign Manager for We Are Swindon.

She writes about herself that she feels the happiest at the moment when she creates and publishes new content on the Internet.

Living in Swindon with her husband and two daughters, she loves her city and loves to promote it.

What's interesting is that Michelle Jones has been working in social media marketing since about the time this all started in 2009.

It all started with learning Google Analytics. Michelle admits that it was one of the most challenging assignments for her at the time. After all, there were not enough training materials on this topic, and all the information from business analysis services to interact with the audience had to be collected bit by bit.

Social media marketing has grown at a rate that has been hard to keep up with. There were no courses on it, and they often had to learn from their very noticeable mistakes.

Michelle worked for a local hospice as a digital media marketing specialist for several years.

You must learn all the new changes, tools, and rules of social networks. But they appear and develop very quickly. As such, Michelle Jones was 100% self-taught, and most of her learning came from trial and error.

Today she manages six social media accounts, is a digital volunteer, and runs her campaign positively promoting her hometown of Swindon.

Are you done with mistakes? Michel laughs - of course not. She still makes mistakes. The beauty of digital marketing is that you can fix errors pretty quickly. But the downside is that the last person in the organization you want to see sees him first.

The platforms are constantly changing (sometimes it seems like every day!) We can't beat ourselves up for not knowing everything and often feel overwhelmed.

Sometimes new social media features are introduced (remember Twitter Fleets?). You teach yourself how to use them and incorporate them into your content strategy. Then they disappear as quickly as they appeared.

But don't worry if you don't know this. You were probably not taught or even told. No one can give you a learning guide because it will be outdated while it's still hot on the printer.

None of Michelle's line managers were digital experts. However, this benefited, as management constantly expressed support and understanding that the digital world is complex.

Therefore, Michel advises everyone who works in social networks not to think that they need to know all this; this is impossible. But you can always learn from those who have already come a long way in social media marketing.

According to the Statista website, the total value of the global social media advertising market is expected to increase to US$358 billion by 2026. It means that you should not miss your chance to become a part of this modern and highly profitable market, which also covers our greatest need as a social being - communication.
