A housebuilder behind major developments in Swindon and throughout Wiltshire has recently promoted one of its own to Deputy Managing Director.
Seb Spiller assumes the mantle at Persimmon Homes Wessex after serving as Technical Director at the region.
He will be assisting the new Regional Managing Director, Julian Roper, in the running of business, whilst also being directly accountable for specific deliveries.
He started the role in February, after nine years at Persimmon, originally joining as an engineer then taking on positions as Engineering Manager and Head of Technical before his time as Technical Director.
Prior to joining Persimmon, Seb spent over 10 years at WYG (now Tetratech) as a Civil Engineer.
Persimmon has recently secured planning permission to bring over 1,500 new homes to Kingsdown on the outskirts of Swindon and 95 in Chippenham.
Seb said: “I am really excited to be taking on this role at such an exciting time for Persimmon Homes Wessex, especially with our new developments in Swindon and Didcot, as well as continuing our good work at our live sites from Warminster to Wantage.
"Our dedicated team is committed to creating a positive and enduring legacy in the communities we develop, offering high-quality, affordable housing, exceptional amenities, and incorporating ambitious sustainability features into our projects.
“I am looking forward to getting stuck in to this new role and delivering on my responsibilities on behalf of the business.”
South West Regional Managing Director for Persimmon Homes, Julian Roper, added: "Seb's journey from engineer to Deputy Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Wessex exemplifies his dedication, expertise, and the company's commitment to investing in its people.
“With a solid foundation built over nine years within the company, Seb's promotion underscores his invaluable contributions, which will be instrumental in driving forward our vision, overseeing key projects across Swindon, Warminster, Malmesbury, and beyond.
“I sincerely congratulate Seb on assuming this important new role, and look forward to working with him in delivering for our business, customers and communities for years to come."
