Neitiv, the UK’s first coconut flower drops beverage company, has appeared on BBC One's Dragons Den to showcase its products.

Neitiv, the UK’s first coconut flower drops beverage company, had its TV debut in the latest series of BBC reality television programme, Dragons’ Den.

The husband-wife co-founders Keeran and Vaani VetriKo pitched their flagship product, Coconut Flower Beer, to current Dragon investors Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett.

Launched in 2021, the Neitiv Coconut Flower Beer range is a UK first, and uses nutritious coconut flower drops as a core ingredient during production. The beer also prides itself upon being vegan, low-calorie, rich in antioxidants and sustainably produced in the UK.

Vaani VetriKo, Co-Founder of Neitiv comments; “Since launching last year, we have been overwhelmed by the interest and support that has been shown towards our products and our ethos. Having the opportunity to appear on Dragons’ Den will be an experience that my husband Keeran and I will never forget and we’re extremely grateful to have had this opportunity to share our brand’s story with such a wide audience.

"As we look ahead to the next twelve months, we’re excited to introduce new coconut flower drops beverages to the UK market and we also look forward to extending our support for initiatives both here and abroad that help to empower all people to enjoy great tasting beer.”

The brand aims to support efforts to empower all people to enjoy beer. On the show, Vaani shared that she had experienced backlash for drinking beer as a young woman as the beverage was seen as ‘not for women’.

The range includes three types of lager; Ninkasi (described as sweet with a rich coconut finish), Menquet (described as bright and light with a hint of hops) and Dea Latis (described as crisp and smooth with a mild hoppy finish). With the ABV ranging from 1.5% - 4% and calories as low as 24/100ml calories per beverage, the range aims to have a beer for every taste.

The TV debut is the latest in a series of recent achievements for Neitiv as it says it continues to experience significant year-on-year growth. In October the brand won the Global Vegan Award at the LUXlife Global Vegan Awards 2021 and it has also been selected for the Global Incubator Programme for Agrifood Innovators. In collaboration with Innovate UK and GROW Singapore, the programme allows innovative SMEs based in the UK to take part in a market visit to Singapore and explore further growth opportunities in Asia.

The lager range is available to buy at https://neitiv.uk/ in packs of eight (RRP £34.40), or a Discovery Pack/Gift Set which includes one of each variant, a Coconut Shell Candle, a Coconut Shell Cup/ Mandala Coaster/Bamboo Straw and a free Mandala Mindfulness Colouring Card with meditation guide (starting at RRP £27.90).
