A swindon actor and entrepreneur has been nominated for a prestigious accolade.
Wellbeing and brand agency THO has announced that founder Tommy Hatto has been shortlisted at the 2023 Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' category.
This recognition, the organisation says, reflects his exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to improving diversity and wellbeing within the corporate industry.
It is the same category that successful serial entrepreneur and Dragon's Den star Steven Bartlett won back in 2017.
Now in its 11th year, and previously described as The Grammys for Entrepreneurship, The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the outstanding individuals and businesses who drive innovation, generate employment opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the UK economy.
These awards honour entrepreneurs who overcome challenges, demonstrate resilience, and make significant contributions to their communities.
Tommy said: "It is an incredible honour to be recognised and nominated. I only ever set out to empower people to see their own potential, so to now be among incredible business owners past and present is incredible."
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards have become one of the most coveted accolades for entrepreneurs across the UK, celebrating the nation's diverse entrepreneurial landscape.
The awards ceremony will take place on 20 November at London’s Grosvenor House, where industry leaders, innovators, and influencers will gather to celebrate the achievements of the finalists.
Awards founder Francesca James said: "Every year I am blown away with the quantity and quality of applications we receive, and this year is no exception.
"The Great British Entrepreneur Awards receives thousands of applications annually and the competition is tough. I am truly inspired by the remarkable accomplishments of this year's finalists.
"Their collective achievements of generating over £2.7 billion in turnover and employing over 33,000 people demonstrate the exceptional impact they have made in their industries and communities.
"These entrepreneurs exemplify the spirit of innovation, resilience, and growth that drives the entrepreneurial landscape in the UK."
Mr Hatto said that in under two years, THO had been recognised as a leader in workplace wellbeing. The company has won multiple industry awards and Tommy himself has become a sought-after keynote speaker at major wellbeing and brand events worldwide.
THO’s client roster already includes several FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, as well as global organisations.
THO helps organisations of all sizes to build people-centric cultures where employees can show up as their best selves. They offer workshops, consultancy services and branding support to ensure company culture, environment and messaging are aligned.
THO’s goal is to facilitate transformative journeys for both individuals and brands through the power of storytelling.
The shortlisting is one of two major events for Tommy this summer, as next month he will front a new modelling campaign with Asahi Super Dry beer as the brand takes on its first year as Official Sponsors of the Rugby World Cup, held in France.
