A £150,000 refit has transformed the top floor of Kingston House near Junction 16 of the M4.

The building is the Swindon location of premium services offices firm Rombourne, which says the new floor complements the already substantial investment it has made since acquiring the property in 2014.

Previously open plan, the top floor of Kingston House has been redesigned in a modular format, to offer space for companies ranging in size from two to 40 team members.

Danielle Mottram, Rombourne centre manager in Swindon, said: “When we purchased the building, the ground and first floors were modularised and the top floor was retained as large open plan space for a single occupier.

“We refurbished the ground and first floors, but while we have of course maintained the top floor it has never had a complete refit and has remained open plan.

"Our most recent client on the top floor moved out at the end of a fixed-term contract, so we took the opportunity for a complete revamp.”

The top floor now has a range of differently-sized offices designed to enable the occupier to flex up or down as and when their business needs change.

It has been completely redecorated and carpeted, with the addition of an open plan soft seating area, and has a kitchen/breakout facility.

Four companies - cyber security firm INTASO, Swindon Financial Services, Riverview Portfolio accountants and Swindon Property Group - have already moved in, and according to Rombourne there is still plenty of space for additional companies to move in.

Jason Griffiths, Director of Swindon Property Group, said: “We looked at many of the serviced offices in Swindon, and Kingston House appealed to us with its modern and fresh decor, welcoming reception and ample parking.

"Topped off by Danielle’s patience with our many questions, we are certain that Swindon Property Group has found its perfect new home!”

Alex Wilkie, of Swindon Financial Services, added: “We chose Kingston House as we liked the modern and welcoming feel to the offices, the meeting room facilities offer a professional environment for us to conduct client meetings, and given the differing sizes of the meeting rooms they can easily accommodate safe Covid secure environments for us to see our clients face to face.”

Ryan Surry, Director at INTASO, said: “We felt the level of service and professionalism shown by Kingston House staff, combined with the quality of the office, represented our brand in the way we wanted. This was a perfect fit for us.”

Danielle added: “We are getting an increasing number of enquiries, partly, we believe, because the pandemic has led to more interest in flexible office solutions.

"Business owners are now reviewing their premises’ needs. Equally, working remotely has led companies to look at more flexible spaces to suit a new style of working along with our virtual packages.”
