A Swindon primary care vet practice is throwing open its doors for pet owners to meet the team and view its first-class facilities.
The fun-packed afternoon will take place at Linnaeus-owned Eastcott Vets in Dorcan Way on Sunday, July 23, between 2pm and 4pm.
It will start with a ribbon-cutting by loyal customer Pat Oborn, from Swindon, whose pets have been cared for by Eastcott Vets for 45 years.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a tour of the animal hospital, guided by two members of the Eastcott team and taking in various departments, the kennel room, laboratory and imaging facilities.
There will also be demonstrations on subjects such as parasites, toxins and neutering, along with guidance on possible veterinary careers. There will be refreshments and competitions with fun prizes for both owners and their pets.
Stuart Davenport, clinical director at Eastcott Vets, said: “This is a great opportunity for pet owners to find out what happens when their pet comes in for a procedure. Visitors can also learn about what vets and nurses do day-to-day in our practice.
“As well as a behind the scenes tour, we would encourage pet owners to ask the team any questions they may have or visit one of the information stations.”
Anyone wanting to learn more about the open day or to book their place should visit www.eastcottvets.co.uk/about/events
Pets will not be able to attend the day itself for infection control reasons.
