On Tuesday it was announced that B&M, a rival in the bargain-priced general goods sector, was to purchase 51 Wilko sites.
In the most recent announcement from administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers, it was revealed that 24 stores are to close on Tuesday, 12 September and a further 28 on Thursday, 14 September.
It is not yet known whether there will be further closures.
