Hartford Care’s Cotswolds Rise care home in Purton, on the outskirts of Swindon, has been rated ‘Good’ following the Care Quality Commission’s first inspection of this home in April 2025.

This rating means that the care home has been found to be performing well and meeting the expectations of the inspectors. The official report following the inspection concludes the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. It reports that staff work together to provide care that meets people’s individual needs in an environment that is safe and supporting, whilst enabling people to do the things that matter to them to ensure a good quality of life and maximise their independence, choice and control, in a clean and well-maintained home.

The report also highlighted that the company cares and promotes the wellbeing of its team to support and enable staff to always deliver person-centred care. The Cotswolds Rise team listen and understand people’s views and wishes, while delivering care that is kind, caring and ensures people’s dignity.

Emma Jones, Operations Director at Hartford Care, said: “We first opened the doors to Cotswolds Rise in October 2023. The CQC’s recent ‘Good’ rating is an incredible achievement for a first inspection and for a newly-built home, and it is a testament to the fantastic team at Cotswolds Rise.
