Time is running out for local charities, schools, sports teams and event’s organisers to apply for Swindon’s Bus Company’s popular Community Fund.
The local bus operator’s good causes initiative is a dedicated resource for backing local groups with funding, marketing help, free travel or the use of its buses for events. However, with allocation windows in June and December, anyone wishing to apply must hurry.
Swindon’s Bus Company operations manager, Paul Coyne, said: “At Swindon’s Bus Company, we’re proud to play an integral role within the local community.
“As well as providing award-winning bus services across the area, we endeavour to support and raise awareness for those doing excellent work on behalf of those living here.
“The Swindon’s Bus Company Community Fund is open to everyone - from charities to sports teams - and we encourage anyone who needs a helping hand, however big or small, to apply.”
To apply for June’s allocation, groups should visit Swindon’s Bus Company’s website and provide details about their cause, what they need, and the difference this support might make to their organisation - before the end of this month.
Previous beneficiaries include Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service, and Westlea School.
Paul said: “Our Community Fund offers a fair support process and allows us to build new relationships with worthy causes across the town.”
